What is a popular semi precious gemstone that people like to wear these days? I don’t mean high priced stones like diamonds.

we are doing this school wide project on what we think beauty is. so i wrote a poem. it can be anything we like. so tell me, do you like it? what can i add to it? is there anything i should change? here is the poem:

Beauty is….
Gemstones
Rubies, diamonds
Sapphires, Opals, and pearls
All with different colors and names
but still beautiful all the same
even though they’re expensive and rare
they somehow manage to be kept in great care.

I want a heart shaped ring. I’m on a budget and the heartshaped rings in diamonds are soooo expensive! The only rings that are heartshaped are gemstones. I never really seen anybody with a gemstone as a wedding ring though….

I’m hoping someone knows where I can buy or find anymore information about the earrings featured in the Vera Wang perfume ad (the one with the brunette with a puffy veil):

From what I can tell, it looks like the bottom of them are pearl but I can’t find any more info about them. Are they by Vera Wang?

Is a diamond considered a gemstone?
What rock are they (diamonds) found in?
Can they be found in snowy peaked mountains?
Also, can you find diamonds on mountains in cold climates where it snows all year round.
